SHOWCASING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS

The Inaugural Legacy Symposium on April 30, 2014 will showcase student and faculty academic achievements! This is a special day in celebration of our 175th anniversary and will provide a venue for everyone to celebrate and share scholarly accomplishments!


  • A variety of presentations on research or creative project or service trip
  • Many formats available: Poster, Oral Presentation, Creative Display or Presentation
  • All majors and all years will be presenting their work (capstone, case studies, research projects, community and service learning experiences)
  • Included is the 2014 Student Awards Luncheon
  • Continue to celebrate at an Evening Film Festival

What is the Legacy Symposium? The Legacy Symposium is an all day celebration of academic and creative work at Loras College, featuring presentations of student research, service presentations, and creative performance.

Who can present at the Symposium? All current Loras students and faculty.

9:00am - Concurrent poster sessions and oral presentations I

10:15am - Concurrent poster sessions and oral presentations II

11:30am - Student Awards Luncheon & 175th Birthday Party

 1:15pm - Concurrent poster sessions and oral presentations III

 2:20pm - Concurrent poster sessions and oral presentations IV

 3:30pm - Oral/Poster Presentations Faculty

 4:40pm - Oral/Poster Presentations Faculty

 7:00pm - Film festival showcasing films produced by students and faculty
