Greg Burbach was raised in Dickeyville, Wisconsin. After launching his career with a Top 10 accounting firm, he joined Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C. (HK) in 1982. First as a staff accountant then a partner, he was integral to the firm’s growth to become the 88th
largest CPA firm in the United States.
Burbach has accumulated more than 30 years of tax and management advisory experience in a wide variety of industries. He specializes in corporate, partnership and individual income tax preparation and consulting; estate planning; financial planning; financial statement preparation; general business consulting and management services; strategic planning and ownership and succession management.
In 2009, Burbach was elected managing partner of HK and the president of the board. He is a shareholder of HKP, the workforce management affiliate of HK, and a shareholder and executive committee member of Honkamp Krueger Financial Services, Inc., the wealth management affiliate. He also services his own book of business while overseeing the strategic direction of the family of companies.
Burbach’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Iowa and Illinois Societies of Certified Public Accountants and the Certified International Financial Planners (CIFP). He is also involved in numerous civic and community organizations, including as treasurer of the Boys and Girls Club of Dubuque, board member of the Holy Family Schools Development Committee, board member of Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, and board member of the Catholic Charities Foundation in Dubuque.
He and his wife, Connie have four children: Sarah, Katie (’05), Ryan (’09) and Maggie (’12)
