ShaChelle Devlin Manning
ShaChelle Devlin Manning came to Loras College in the fall of 1986 and as a student was a member of the Sigma Delta Sorority and an associate editor of the Lorian student newspaper. She earned her bachelor degrees in Speech Communications/Media and English/Writing in May of 1990. She later earned her MBA from the University of Dallas.
After graduating from Loras, Manning lived in Japan for two years serving in educational and government goodwill functions. Until 2002, she worked as a Vice President for Winstar Communications, where she spearheaded the introduction of new innovative wireless and internet technologies. Manning’s first incursion into nanotechnology started in 2002 when she became Director of Alliances at Zyvex Corporation, a leading nanotechnology company where she secured and led several key research and development programs.
Manning then worked as Director of Advanced Technology Alliances for the Office of Texas Governor Rick Perry, and later as Vice President at Authentix, driving the company’s business development activities. Manning joined NanoHoldings in 2008 as Managing Director. She left the company in April 2010 to become a founding partner of Manti Ventures, a privately held advanced technology investment group.
In the fall of 2011, Manning co-founded MalibuIQ, LLC, an entrepreneurial private investment partnership in Malibu, California, for which she also serves as Chief Marketing Officer. MalibuIQ uses a new model for innovation-"Ideation"-to accelerate the commercialization of proven HRL Laboratories inventions to be applied in new markets including electronics, energy, life sciences, networking and communications.
She serves as a board member for several organizations, including Astrotech Corporation, Soul Arts and Music Foundation and Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries (CTSI). ShaChelle and her husband, Stuart have three children: Darby, Devlin, and Sage.
