Net•work•ing

Net·work·ing       noun
A supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest.

Loras College students and alumni are always looking for significant networking opportunities. Through events, internships and volunteer efforts, our Duhawks are making important connections. A great example is the Spring Alumni/Student Panel.

The Loras College National Alumni Board and Loras students have a common interest in discussing career paths, job search tactics, interviewing and how to successfully market themselves when seeking employment or pursuing graduate school. Alumni are generous with their time and are a supportive system to students, offering advice, suggestions and referrals as students begin to make their way following graduation.

On Saturday, April 27, members of the National Alumni Board will meet with students in a panel and luncheon format. Alumni from across the country and in various sectors and positions will share the career paths they have embarked on since their own graduation. In addition, they will explain to students what they look for in hiring individuals, suggest successful ways for students to prepare for the world of work and assist them in making connections, particularly with alumni.

If you have a networking idea, contact the Alumni Office at 563-588-7170 or email us at alumni@loras.edu and don’t forget to check out the upcoming gatherings in your region and make more alumni connections!
