Mysteries of Christmas / Sounds of the Season

11/5/2012

Loras shines this Christmas season with two traditional productions from the music department—Mysteries of Christmas, themed Fulfill the Promise, on Sunday, December 2,  and Sounds of the Season on Saturday, December 8.

Fulfill the Promise, Mysteries of Christmas, will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel and will feature vocal and instrumental pieces integrated with prayers and spiritual messages to celebrate the Advent season. The performance is open to the public; however, as limited seating exists, tickets are available at the Loras College Barnes and Noble Bookstore for an admission offering of $8. Tickets may be purchased in person, via phone or online at loras.edu/bookstore, to be picked up at will-call between 3:00 and 3:45 p.m. on December 2.

Sounds of the Season, a great family performance, takes a more secular approach and celebrates Christmas with traditional and modern carols and sing-alongs.  Sounds of the Season features vocal and wind ensemble performances in the Athletic and Wellness Center at Loras. This free concert begins at 3:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

Following the Sounds of the Season concert, the Loras Network of Dubuque will host a reception with complimentary cookies, coffee and cider. A surprise guest from the North Pole plans a visit as well!

Please RSVP for the reception by clicking here.
We hope you are able to join us as we celebrate this Christmas season!
