Loras College President Jim Collins
is pleased to announce the appointment of Omar Correa
as the new vice president of enrollment management. Correa comes to Loras from Monmouth College where he also served as vice president for enrollment management.
Prior to his service at Monmouth, Correa held executive level positions in enrollment management at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., Clarke College in Dubuque, IA and Iowa State University in Ames, IA.
In addition to his professional experiences, Correa has held or currently does hold leadership positions in a number of national and statewide professional organizations including: SAT Advisory Board; National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), chair of the National Membership Committee; Iowa Association for College Admissions Counseling; National Association for Foreign Student Advisors and Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
“Omar’s background and experience in enrollment management will be of tremendous assistance as we announce and launch a number of new programs during the next year. Omar Correa is committed to enhancing Loras’ primary strategy of continuing to recruit students who can benefit from and improve upon Loras’ strong educational experience and student outcomes which include: stellar Class of 2011 job and graduate school placement rate of 98%, exceedingly low student loan default rate of 2.3%, and nationally recognized and strong four year graduation rate,” said Loras College President Jim Collins.
