Loras College and ARK Advocates have partnered for the 14th Annual Walk and Fun Day fundraiser, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9th at the Loras College Graber Sports Center.
In addition to hosting the event on campus, the Loras College eDUcation Club has 10 members who will be onsite, providing assistance and participating in the planned activities.
“This event will help raise funds to support local individuals with disabilities through ARK Advocates,” said Alli Settanni
(’15) (Burlington, Ill.), eDUcation Club president. “Our club strives to raise awareness surrounding the importance of inclusion in the classroom and in the community, so we are thrilled to support this cause.”
The free event will raise funds to support ARK Advocate programs, such as respite days planned by the eDUcation Club and the Adaptive Equipment Lending Library. Music and snacks will be available for participants in addition to activities including walking on the indoor track, an inflatable bounce house and slide, face painting, parachute play and more.
