I am in my fourth year of serving as a full-time Catholic missionary with FOCUS - The Fellowship of Catholic University Students. I find great joy in serving as a missionary! Each day, I strive to live the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations.
I have the opportunity each day to introduce someone to a relationship with Christ, and share with them the joy that I have found, and can only be ultimately found, in a relationship with Him. I get to invest my whole life into college students through leading Bible studies, and meeting with students one-on-one, whether that's at the gym, at a sorority philanthropy event, at Mass, or at a coffee shop. Our whole lives are a gift, and our service to others is only a response to the love and generosity we have received and been shown. Pope Paul VI in Guadium et Spes, said that "…[m]an cannot find himself except through a sincere gift of himself."
We know that there are many other Loras community members living a life of service every day like Joanna Brady
(’08), in both large and small ways. Joanna majored in public relations and Spanish and was very involved on campus with Campus Ministry, Spanish Club, PR Innovations and much more.
Join Joanna and others from the Duhawk community and help us celebrate the 175th year of Loras College by logging 175,000 hours of service! You all have stories to tell, and now is the time to do it. Help us reach our goal by filling out the survey using the link below and sharing your story.
