Loras is blessed with incredible alumni who support the College. Recently an anonymous alumnus donated $17,800 to the Loras Fund. The humility and generosity of those who have attended Loras is a reminder of why Loras is special. “Loras College educated me in both the spiritual and academic aspects of life. Both aspects of my Loras education have been very important to me and this value has increased over time,” said the donor, a 1966 graduate.
This gift was sparked by the Fall 2013 issue of “The Loras College Magazine,” in which the donor read an article in the magazine about Msgr. Friedl’s $175,000 Inspiring Lives and Leadership
campaign donation in honor of the College’s 175th anniversary.
Gifts to the Loras Fund help the College reach the $75 million campaign goal and provide support for critical annual needs, including student aid, expert faculty, technology resources and student services. This fund supports the innovative and resourceful programs that inspire students to become better scholars, ethical leaders, more productive employees and engaged world citizens.
As of July 31, 2014, 1,621 donors have given $56.6 million to the Inspiring Lives and Leadership: The Loras Legacy campaign. For more campaign news and information, or to make a contribution, visit loras.edu/giving/75campaign
