The Center for Business Analytics at Loras College invites you to attend a spectacular event in order to learn the many ways the proper analysis of big data can help companies step up to the next level.
Loras College’s annual Business Analytics Symposium takes place on March 27th, 2014 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the concept of creating a culture of analytics, from keynote speaker, Gebhard F. Rainer. Rainer is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Other topics include sustainability, sports analytics, forecasting and budgeting, performance evaluation, long range strategic planning and social business, all delivered by expert speakers from the region and the country.
The evening before the symposium, attendees will have the chance to enjoy music from the band: The Last Ride, who has opened for Lady Antebellum and other famous country artists, at the Loras College Fieldhouse.
The symposium will also serve as the kickoff for the Center for Business Analytics’ newest offering—the 10-week, online certificate in business analytics. Designed to provide practical experience for the ethical exploration of analytics in an engaging online environment, this unique program serves as the first step for business professionals to gain an understanding of the practical application of analytics. Students who participate in the certificate program in business analytics will be led by a team of experienced industry professionals and covers topics such as data science, analytics visualization, performance management and ethics.
The program at Loras College is designed to create informed decision makers and enhance the skills needed in the analytics field such as: leadership, communication, technology and quantitative analysis.
