The Loras College MBA in Business Analytics is ideal for those looking to enter a rapidly growing field which uses data management and analytical tools to evaluate and analyze past performance to improve decision-making and business outcomes. There is anticipated to be a 1.5 million person shortage in the area of analytics nationwide through the year 2015.

Q. Will the program accept graduate transfer credit?
A. A maximum of 6 credits can be transferred from a previous institution. The courses must be similar in content and approved by the MBA Program Director.
Q. How long will it take me to complete the degree?
A. Students entering into the program at the start of the fall semester may complete the program in two years. Those entering at the beginning of the second course of the fall semester or in a different semester may take longer to complete the program.
Q. What time are classes? Are there online offerings?
A. Classes will be offered in two 7-week terms per semester, with course times in the evening. At this time, courses will be offered in person.
Q. Do I need to take prerequisites for full admission to the program?
A. Full admission into the program requires that applicants have a familiarity with concepts in the areas of economics, accounting, finance, management and marketing. Applicants with an undergraduate business degree will generally meet these requirements.
The academic readiness of an applicant who does not hold an undergraduate degree in a business field will be determined through an interview process, including a review of professional work experience, and in some cases completion of business competency exams. Students who do not fully meet the academic readiness requirements for the program may be admitted on a provisional basis.
