Partnership ProgramsFounded by Matthias Loras, Archbishop of the Dubuque Diocese, Loras College has ties to the Archdiocese that stretch back—well into the nineteenth-century. That long relationship has meant that the College has had many successful partnerships with the Archdiocese, working closely with Archdiocesan offices to meet a number of needs and educate several generations of religious leaders.
Today faculty from the Division of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Theology serve the Archdiocese as priests, chaplains, committee members, speakers, and Directors of Archdiocesan offices. In addition to those many individual commitments, faculty also are committed to provided academic programming to an emerging generation of lay leaders. We offer to our undergraduate programs in Philosophy and Religious Studies/Theology, but also two Masters-level degrees that are designed to meet the needs of adult learners who cannot travel to campus every week for class and need to complete some work online.
Recently, the Division has sponsored summer Institutes in Liturgical Studies and Parish Leadership. We also have begun an online resource for parish catechists called “Cast Your Nets.” Follow this link to learn more: ----------------------------
