Merit-Based Assistance & Loras Sponsored Scholarship Programs
Loras offers five (5) full-tuition scholarships. Qualified candidates will have at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and a minimum 27 ACT composite score. Loras Merit Awards
Loras offers academic scholarships to accepted students who have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and a minimum 20 ACT composite score. Scholarships range from $7,000 - $20,000.
Loras offers full-tuition scholarships to students from Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota who are confirmed as their high school valedictorian. Completion of the Valedictorian Scholarship Eligibility and Verification Forms are required. Total awards for students cannot exceed full tuition. The scholarship is available for a maximum of eight semesters.
Breitbach Catholic Thinkers and Leaders Program / Scholarships
This $17,000 per year scholarship is awarded to 15 selected applicants. The Breitbach Catholic Thinkers and Leaders program is a unique and vibrant four-year experience that engages students in service leadership and academic work. Applicants must submit an essay and a detailed list of their high school activities and involvements. This scholarship is awarded to 15 selected applicants. Pope John Paul II Memorial Program / Scholarships
One (1) $5,000 and Four (4) $2,000 scholarships awarded. Learn more and apply now or contact the Office of Admission to receive additional information.
$250 - $750 per year awarded based on audition and open to all majors. Students must be accepted to the College by January 31 to be eligible to audition. National Alumni Board Scholarship
$3,000 per year awarded to a selected student each year and renewable for three years. Learn more or contact us for additional details.
Cristo Rey Scholarships
Loras College provides two Cristo Rey Network students with an annual full-tuition scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA and enroll as a full-time student at Loras College. Applicants should show strong academic standing in high school and involvement outside the classroom whether it be through service, organizations/clubs, or community. The scholarship is awarded to two incoming first year students from the Cristo Rey Network and is renewed each of the four years they attend Loras contingent on maintaining the financial and academic requirements. Grant assistance is available to full-time students who complete the FAFSA and demonstrate financial need. The amount is based on need and total of other Loras College scholarships and grants awarded. Students must maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Loras College Four-State Flagship Rate Tuition Program
Students who reside in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota or Wisconsin, have earned at least a 3.0 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale and have a family adjusted gross income level below $100,000 are eligible for this program. Students must live on campus. If you meet these criteria, Loras guarantees to match the direct cost (tuition, fees, room and board) of the Flagship University in your state. To ensure full consideration for Loras sponsored scholarships and grants, students must be applied, accepted and have all current transcripts and test scores to Loras College by January 31. Presidential, Valedictorian, Merit and Breitbach scholarships are not stackable. Students must be a full-time undergraduate and maintain satisfactory academic progress for renewal.

that we have received from a variety of organizations and companies. There are many scholarships out there, and this lists is only a handful. Award amounts and criteria, as well as deadline dates, vary for each scholarship. It is recommended that these resources be pursued early in the admission and financial assistance processes.
