Loras College Financial Planning - Assistance Policies
Loras College considers past and current academic performance when constructing financial assistance packages. The College seeks to meet the need of all applicants using all available resources.
Students must be enrolled full time (12 credit hours) to be considered for Loras College Scholarships, Grants and Special Awards.
Students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) to be eligible for Pell Grants, SEOG, Perkins Loans, state grants or to receive Stafford or PLUS Loans.
Male students over the age of 18 must be registered with the Selective Service to be eligible for federal or state assistance.
Students receiving financial assistance awards from external sources must report these awards to the Financial Planning Office. Loras College will then make appropriate adjustments to the financial aid package by first reducing work study eligibility and then loans.
