Pharmacists are experts of medication who dispense prescriptions to patients and provide information on dosages, how to take the drugs and the drugs’ effects. They earn their Pharm.D. after five years of pharmacy school, which can be entered after two, three or four years of undergraduate study. Students interested in attending pharmacy school after Loras meet with Dr. Dave Speckhard as early as possible in their college careers to plan the prerequisite courses that will best prepare them.
Loras and Creighton College have two 3+4 plans that include a Doctor of Pharmacy Admission and Articulation Agreement and the Creighton Pharmacy and Loras College Biology course requirements. To learn more about these programs and preparing yourself for a promising career as a pharmacist, contact Dr. David Speckhard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
