The Junior Year Experience is a new program designed to meet the needs of junior year students. Much like the difference that exists between freshman and sophomore year, there are differences between sophomore and junior year. Junior year provides great opportunities for leadership and personal growth both academically and socially.
Important changes occurring in the junior year include things such as having a declared major, coping with the increased academic demands of upper level course work, preparing for or returning from a study abroad experience, and securing internship opportunities.

The junior year experience is here to help accommodate these and other changes you will encounter throughout the year. We have several programs, such as speakers on personal growth and resume seminars, developed to help you grow socially and academically. Our ultimate goal is to prepare you for the changes you will encounter in your senior year as well as for life after Loras. Completing the six milestones will help you with this.
