The following is a list of graduates from our Electromechanical Engineering program who have agreed to have their employment and contact information on this page. The program was called Electromechanical Engineering from 2000 to 2010.   We encourage you to send corrections and updates to us.  The list is in reverse chronological order and only those graduates who have agreed to have contact information posted are listed.  Please note that alumni/ae of our Pre-engineering program and our current Engineering program are listed on separate pages.

  • Hermes, Michael,  2007. Mr. Hermes is now a Product Engineer with Char-Griller in Atlanta, GA.  Michael worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Duct Sox in Dubuque, IA from 2007 to 2011.

  • Mescher, Anthony,  2003-2007. Mr. Mescher is currently Engineering Manager at Kann Manufacturing in Dubuque, IA.  Tony has been Project Manager and a Design Engineer at Entegee, Engineering Technical Group at their Dubuque, IA location from 2007 to 2010.

  • Greenley, Joseph,  2007. Mr. Greenley is an Electrical Design Engineer with Smith Electric in Kansas City, MO.  Joe was a Design Engineer with Vermeer, in Pella, IA.  Joe earned an MS from Iowa State University.

  • Mitchell, Robert  2007. Robert graduated after taking time out from his education to serve in the US Military. Robert is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Kinte is a Mechanical Design Engineer for ASC Industries in East Hazelcrest, Illinois, where he is designing custom lifting devices.  Kinte does the complete mechanical design for any type of custom lifting device a customer might need.  He can be reached atkintejallen@gmail.com

  • Dirksen, Blake, 1999-2003. Blake received a M.S. in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in January 2005. He is a medical physicist at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. He may be reached at dirksenb@mercyheatlh.com

  • Folmer, Dan, 1998-2003. Dan is an Instrumentation and Test Mechanic at John Deere in Dubuque. He works with the Test and Evaluation Engineering group to design and implement testing of forestry and construction equipment. Dan may be reached at djfolmer@hotmail.com

  • Gotto, Tom, 1999-2003. Tom is enlisted in the United States Air Force and is in training to be an Airborne Linguist. Tom my be reached at gottomilk@yahoo.co.uk

  • Halbur, Simon, 1999-2003. Simon completed an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC in late 2004. His research involved the cooling capabilities of piezoelectric bimorphs. He's now looking for engineering work. He may be reached atsghalbur@netscape.net

  • Torres, Angela, 1999-2003. Angela taught for two years as a bilingual teacher in the Houston Independent School District in Houston, Texas. As of Spring 2006 she is enrolled in the graduate program in Electrical Engineering at the University of Houston. She may be reached at a_torres80@hotmail.com

  • Eisbach, Adam, 1998-2002. Adam is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Il.

  • Gallmeyer, Adam, 2002. Mr. Gallmeyer is currently EPDP Project Manager at John Deere, Waterloo, IA.  Adam was previously a Senior Design Engineer with Henderson Manufacturing in Manchester, IA, working in R & D with the design of dump bodies and snow removal equipment.

  • Murphy, Mike, 1997-2001. Mike is working as an HVAC (heating, ventilating, air-conditioning) engineer in the Chicago area.

  • Murray, Robert, 2001. Currently, Rob is the resident inspector for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the Duanne Arnold power plant in Palo, IA.  Previously, Rob was selected for the prestigious Naval Nuclear Engineer Officer program and served as the Engineering Officer of the Watch on the nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine, USS HELENA.   • Wulff, Kurt, 1997-2001. Kurt is a graduate student in Controls Engineering at Duke University. Kurt can be reached at kurtwulff@hotmail.com

  • Copeland, Nathan, 1996-2000. Nate is a Product Engineer in the CFR (Cooperative Fuel Research) department of Waukesha Engine near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Waukesha Engine has been designing and producing fuel rating equipment since 1931. These products include five ASTM approved CFR Fuel Rating models used to determine the combustion characteristics of motor and aviation gasoline and diesel fuels according to ASTM test method standards. Nate can be reached atnathan.copeland@waukeshaengine.dresser.com
