Jim Theisen has been a member of the Board of Regents since October 2003. He is currently the CEO and President of Theisen Supply Inc., the headquarters company for Theisen Home, Farm and Auto, which has 20 retail locations in Iowa. His family started the business in 1927, and he began working there in 1956. The company employs over 850 associates.
Theisen married the former Marita Sear on November 24, 1956 and they have six children: Jody Randall, Sharon Condon, Chris Theisen, Scott Theisen, Tony Theisen and Jay Theisen.
He is a founding director of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. He is also a past president of both Hospice of Dubuque and Boy & Girls Club of Dubuque and current trustee of Wahlert Trust Fund Committee and a, Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Theisen is an alumnus of Loras College.
