SHORT-TERM RECOMMENDATIONS:

• institute a smoke-free campus policy
• discontinue sale of bottled water on campus
• install more efficient toilet/urinal flush valves (old: approx. 4 gals./flush; new: approx. 1.6 gals./flush) and shower heads

Hazardous Materials (Physical Plant, ARAMARK, relevant academic divisions, Health Center)

1. Laboratory materials and waste
2. Cleaning supplies
3. Misc. (fluorescent lamps, pesticides and herbicides, sharps, etc.)

SHORT-TERM RECOMMENDATIONS:

• reduce the use of hazardous pesticides/herbicides/cleaning products where possible by use of safe and environmentally friendly alternatives.
