Loras College campus dining is excited to introduce Papa John’s in the pub in an effort to continuously improve and bring new concepts to address student needs and concerns. This concept is scheduled to open in early March, along with a renovated environment to enhance student community.
“As our campus dining continues to expand ways to provide a quality dining experience for our campus, having a recognized brand such as Papa John’s Pizza is exciting. We know students especially enjoy Papa John’s and it is a great addition to our dining services,” said Art Sunleaf,
vice president for student development and dean of students.
In the pub, students will also notice a renovated environment complete with newly painted walls to compliment the school colors. Additional renovations that will be completed through the upcoming months will include newly refreshed booth seating, carpet and a new look to the grill and deli areas.
“These enhancements are designed to provide students with even more opportunities to enjoy their meals, as well as their overall dining experience,” said Susi DuBois
, director of Loras College campus dining for food-service provider ARAMARK.
Earlier this month, campus dining also announced that beer and wine will now be served in the pub on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. until close.
In addition, we’ve introduced a new meal plan beginning in the fall of 2013. The GOLD Open Access Plan will provide students with a VIP pass to the Loras College dining facilities. This plan will be available to any student who lives in campus housing and is designed to accommodate varied students’ schedules, encourage healthy eating and satisfy dietary requirements. It’s more than breakfast, lunch or dinner. Students will make new friends over coffee or meet for study groups in the evening over ice cream.
Studies of college students across the nation consistently show that students who eat and live on campus are more involved, have higher grade point averages and are more likely to graduate than students living at home or off campus.
