Mary Meehan, Ph.D.
Mary Meehan, Ph.D. received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology; master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and; doctorate degree in higher education from Seton Hall University. She holds a second master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from New York Medical College School of Public Health. In 1975, Meehan joined the staff of St. Mary’s Hospital in New Jersey as Vice President for Mental Health and in 1988; she became Administrator and CEO at St. Vincent’s Westchester in Harrison, New York. In 1996, Meehan began working at Seton Hall University as Vice President, Assistant to the President, and Executive Vice President, respectively. In 2004, Meehan became the first lay President at Alverno College, an independent Catholic women’s liberal arts college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
