Clarke University, Loras College, Northeast Iowa Community College, and University of Dubuque will host 78 employer and graduate schools who will meet with area College students who are looking for career advice, internships and full-time positions in the annual Career Fair at Loras College on Monday, October 29, 2012, in Alumni Campus Center Marie Graber Ballroom from 11am to 2pm.
This year’s event will have four main components which include: time to network with over 78 organization representatives; actual interviews with company representatives for available positions at specific companies; a seminar on how to use LinkedIn as a job seeking tool during the fair hours; and a special evening seminar, “Learning from the Pros.” This program starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Campus Center, Ballroom A, will feature speakers Jemele Hill, a columnist and television personality for ESPN; Larry Stokes, Vice President of Human Resources and Stadium Security for the Houston Astros; and will be moderated by Tony Cornish, Jr. an independent broadcast media professional.

From enhancing one’s professional image on LinkedIn to making key connections to internships and full-time positions with industry leaders; from discovering exciting graduate school programs to networking with national media personalities there is something special with each element of the day ,” said Jeff Roberts, assistant. coordinator of career services.
