Looking for a college education that gives you proven payback once you enter the workforce? Look no further than Loras College in Dubuque. Loras was recently ranked #4 in Iowa in student return on investment, in an unsolicited, independent study by Affordable Colleges Online
. The rankings are based on tuition and fees and a 30-year wage history of graduates from the analyzed institutions, using statistics from multiple sources.
“Families are increasingly “shopping” for the best college for their students to attend—one that will provide a challenging and enriching experience, and will pay off in the end, in the form of lucrative employment. We are proud to be ranked in the top five schools in Iowa in providing an education that truly pays off for our graduates. Loras’ concentration on providing opportunities for experiential education is reflected in the more than 96% of our 2012 graduates who have already found themselves employed or in graduate school, and further reflected in this well-earned ranking from Affordable Colleges Online,” noted Jim Collins (’84), President.
“These are important lists for prospective students to consider,” Affordable Colleges Online founder Dan Schuessler said in a press release. “We’ve sifted through comprehensive data sources to find colleges and universities in Iowa that offer a high quality education with consistent, long-term payoffs in the workplace.
Of the 95 Iowa colleges and universities that were analyzed in the study, only 22 were ranked. Loras finished behind only Drake University, Iowa State University and University of Iowa.
