KalibanIn this video, actor Bob Kaliban (’55) remembers Fr. Karl Schroeder (’30), “King Karl,” how his Loras College scholarship made a significant impact on his life, and why giving to Loras is important to him.

About his Loras experience, Kaliban says, “I wouldn’t have anything that I have today if it hadn’t been for the [Loras] scholarships.”

Kaliban’s career includes appearances on “Law and Order,” “Human Giant,” “The Patty Duke Show,” “Car 54 Where Are You?” and the movie, “It Runs in the Family.” His voice characterizations appear in many children’s shows and most recently in the animated movie “Top Cat.” In the 1960s, Kaliban performed in three successful Broadway productions, including the original production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”
