President Jim Collins (’84)
announced today that Loras College has received an anonymous $1 million donation to the President’s Discretionary Fund and the Inspiring Lives and Leadership: The Loras Legacy
campaign. Moved by the exemplary education their child received while attending Loras, the anonymous couple are strong supporters of the college and repeat campaign donors; the couple had already contributed more than $236,500 to the campaign bringing their total support of the campaign to nearly $1.24 million.
“The generosity exhibited by this couple exemplifies the very ideals by which they live their lives. They are humble, grateful and passionate about the educational quality and professional ethics that Loras College delivers. They are in a credible position to judge having had experienced top notch college educations themselves and having watched one of their children thrive after having experienced numerous Loras opportunities,” said Collins.
Launched on October 10, 2013, Inspiring Lives and Leadership: The Loras Legacy
campaign for $75 million is the largest fundraising campaign in the 175-year history of the college.
