Loras offers five (5) full-tuition scholarships. Qualified candidates will have at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and a minimum 27 ACT composite score. Presidential Scholarship competition day will be held February. Candidates must apply and be accepted to the College prior to January 31. Loras offers full-tuition scholarships to students who are confirmed as their high school valedictorian. Students must graduate from a high school in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota or Wisconsin. Completion of the Valedictorian Scholarship Eligibility and Verification Forms are required. Students must be accepted to the college by January 31. Verification forms must be received by July 1 in order to receive the scholarship.
Breitbach Catholic Thinkers and Leaders Program / Scholarships
This $17,000 per year scholarship is awarded to 15 selected applicants. This program is a unique and vibrant four-year experience that aims to develop the whole student while learning what it means to be a Catholic thinker and leader in today’s modern world. Loras Merit Awards
Loras offers academic scholarships to accepted students based on their high school GPA and ACT score. Scholarships range from $7,000 - $20,000.
Pope John Paul II Memorial Program / Scholarships
To promote the vision of Saint Pope John Paul II, Loras offers five (5) scholarships to students who combine their studies, spirituality and service in witness to Christ and the truth of the human person. Award amounts are based on audition and open to all majors. The Loras College music program and the Wilke Music Liturgical Scholarship provide assistance based on auditions. Scholarships are open to all majors. Students must be accepted to the College by January 31 to be eligible to audition. Global Scholars and Citizens Program/Scholarship
The Global Scholars and Citizens Program is designed to deepen students' understanding of 21st century China through the study of language, culture and contemporary issues. Complete applications must be recieved by January 31. To learn more and apply, visit Global Scholars and Citizens Program
Grant assistance is available to full-time students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need. The FAFSA should be completed after January 1, but prior to April 15.
Loras College Four-State Flagship Rate
Students who reside in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota or Wisconsin, have earned at least a 3.0 high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale and have a family adjusted gross income level below $100,000 are eligible for this program. Students must live on campus. For students that meet these criteria, Loras guarantees to match the direct cost (tuition, fees, room and board) of the Flagship University in your state.
