DEAR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES,
At Loras College, we understand that choosing a college is one of the most important decisions in a young person’s life. Oftentimes, families don’t realize just how affordable a private education can be. We believe in the Loras experience so strongly that we continue in our mission to make Loras an accessible choice. That is why we are excited to offer this financial aid program.
Qualifying students from Iowa must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and a family income NOT exceeding $100,000/year. The student must be accepted to Loras, live on campus and fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to complete the process.
Students from Illinois who meet the defined criteria will be awarded financial aid to match the University of Illinois direct cost of $21,748.
Students will be able to receive the same level of aid for the subsequent three years provided they have made satisfactory academic progress and continue to complete the FAFSA each year.
