The campus is situated on the high bluffs of the Mississippi River, overlooking the city of Dubuque, Iowa; a small, safe city of 67,000 people. On campus, you will find new and exciting ways to get involved. There are more than 75 clubs and organizations and over 80 intramural activities offered, there is something for everyone. Loras is a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, NCAA Division III. There are 22 varsity sports offered – 11 for men and 11 for women.
Loras is pleased to offer qualified international students an academic merit scholarship upon acceptance. We encourage students to apply and submit all necessary supporting materials as early in the process as possible so we are able to determine your academic scholarship should you qualify. We are happy to award scholarships to our international students whenever possible.
International students are also permitted to work while attending Loras, either on-campus or off-campus. For Internship (or practical training directly related to you major field of study) or employment, please consult the International Student Handbook and the Designated School Official for specific details about employment.
