The student Life office provides leadership opportunities to suit every student! These programs will assist students in developing knowledge and gaining experience in leadership theory, practical skills, multicultural awareness, ethical decision-making, and citizenship.
LEAD 4 LORAS is an initiative created by the Student Life Office and is designed to provide ongoing leadership development and support to students. The program is 4-tiered to allow students to continue enhancing their leadership understanding and development throughout their years at Loras. Each tier focuses on a different perspective of leadership: (1) Learning, (2) Exploring, (3) Applying, and (4) Dedicating. LEAD 4 Loras is based upon the Social Change Model of Leadership, and is focused on enhancing consciousness of self, congruence, commitment, collaboration, common purpose, controversy with civility, and citizenship.

JOURNEY OF LEADERSHIP: MAKING CONNECTIONS
Each year Loras, Clarke College, University of Dubuque, Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville collaborate and host a Leadership Conference for students. The conference is geared toward all levels of student leaders and there is no fee to attend. There are several sessions geared toward new student leaders as well as sessions for students with more leadership experience. The conference provides several opportunities for students to connect with their peers from other area colleges.
