His latest book\, Chile in Their Hearts\, revisits the stories of two young Americans who were executed following Chile’s 1973 military coup. Drawing on newly uncovered archives and interviews\, Dinges challenges accepted narratives and sheds new light on U.S. involvement in Chile. \nHis other works include Assassination on Embassy Row (with Saul Landau) and The Condor Years: How Pinochet and His Allies Brought Terrorism to Three Continents.
