Program Overview
You’ll learn from doctoral-level faculty, who are practicing professionals and bring real-world experience to their teaching. Their knowledge in a range of specialty areas of study and professional network leverages extensive field placements where students can meet both program and state criteria for practicum and internships.
Graduates who become licensed mental health counselors work in a wide range of service organizations such as group private practices, Life Connections, Hillcrest Family Services, community counseling centers in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, as well as in private practice after full licensure is achieved.
Our program curriculum meets the licensure requirements for Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, making it easy for students to obtain a license in these states. For students desiring to work in additional states, the program director meets with each individually to ensure licensure eligibility in those locations as well.
