Dr Kehr received his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at DePauw University (2009) and his PhD in Biology at Carnegie Mellon University (2015). As an extension of his postdoctoral research at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Kehr’s research interests involve probing the biochemical mechanisms of proteins involved in inherited blindness. Current research topics include examining the role carbohydrate addition may have on protein activity and what role individual amino acids have on structural rearrangement. Dr. Kehr teaches Intro and Advanced Biochemistry, Intensive Science Research Experience, General Chemistry I lab, General Chemistry II, Fermentation, and General Chemistry II Lab.
