Dr. Oostendorp earned his PhD in organic polymer chemistry from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (1991) studying the reaction kinetics and synthesis of polysiloxanes. Dr. Oostendorp teaches organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and the chemistry of art. Current areas of research include investigations into kinetic control of addition reactions involving conjugated dienes, synthesis of bifunctional dendrimers and green chemistry involving reusable catalysts.
