Dr. Shin has been a faculty member of the Francis J. Noonan School of Business since 2021. Prior to joining Loras College, he completed his PhD and master’s in financial economics from the University of New Orleans, where his dissertation considered idiosyncratic volatilities in global financial markets. He received his MBA in finance and operations management from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and his bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Central Florida.
He has taught a variety of business-related subjects, including statistics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, bank administrations, finance capstone, and financial management. His research interests are in the fields of empirical asset pricing, market microstructure, corporate governance, international finance, and fintech.
