Professor David Cochran stands in the Loras College library, holding and displaying his new book, "The Catholic Case Against War: A Brief Guide."

Book Launch: “The Catholic Case Against War: A Brief Guide”

April 4 @ 4:00 pm

The University of Notre Dame Press has published Politics professor David Cochran’s sixth book, The Catholic Case Against War: A Brief Guide. The book draws on decades of papal statements and Vatican documents to detail Catholic social teaching’s critique of war and advocacy for its alternatives, as well as how consistent it is with what empirical and historical research reveals about the nature of armed conflict in the world today.

There will be an on-campus book reception and presentation, with copies available for sale, on Thursday, April 4, at 4:00 pm in the MARC 3rd floor commons.

More details on the book are on the Notre Dame Press website: https://undpress.nd.edu/9780268207892/the-catholic-case-against-war/
