
Sport Business Symposium 2025

$10The annual Loras Sport Business Symposium is a student-led event that attracts more than 150 college students and industry professionals. Scheduled for April 11, 2025, the symposium includes a keynote speaker, lunch in the Loras Cafe, and two panel discussions consisting of alumni of the College’s nationally recognized Sport Management program and industry leaders from across the Midwest.
Keynote Speaker – Tim LeFevour (’78)
General Manager at Soldier Field
Tim has been the General Manager at Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League, for 23 years where he oversees all aspects of the historic stadium’s operation. A native Chicagoan, Tim, has spent the past 44 years in Chicago’s professional sports and entertainment industry including serving as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Chicago Motor Speedway and Director of Administration for the Chicago Bears Football Club. In addition, Tim has been a consultant for the National Football League for the past 34 Super Bowls. During his career, Tim worked with the park district on the $680 million renovation of Soldier Field and was the Project Manager for the development of the $30 million Chicago Bears’ training complex. As General Manager of Soldier Field, Tim is responsible for all aspects of a facility that annually has sales that exceed $30 million dollars not including Chicago Bears games. Tim is a Loras graduate earning bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Communication in 1978. He is the father of six children and resides in the Old Town neighborhood with his wife Alexis where they play bagpipes with the Shannon Rovers Irish Bagpipe Band. | ![]() |
