Dr. Marx is a professor of sport management and joined Loras College in 2011. She teaches undergraduate sport management courses in finance, sales and sponsorship, facility and event management, and social issues. Additionally, she teaches graduate courses in the Coaching Leadership Program including Administration and Management of Sport and Inclusive Leadership in Athletic Coaching.
She utilizes a combination of teaching methods to engage students of all abilities and backgrounds in the learning process. Classroom learning is complemented by out-of-class projects to provide an experiential component to the learning process. Her research focuses on sport as a platform for socio-cultural change with specific interests in ethics and gender law.
Her research has been published in numerous academic journals, and she has presented her research at national and international conferences.
