Valder Gives $750,000 To Bolster Social Justice Initiatives

Loras College Chemistry Unveils New NMR Spectrophotometer
The College unveiled its new nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrophotometer for alumni over Homecoming. The machine, used to determine the structures of molecules, was completely funded by alumni donations.

Duhawk Dozen | Abby (Moore) Lawrence (’12)
Abby is no stranger to hard work and long hours. She spent all four years at Loras, staying involved in clubs and organizations, and succeeding both inside and outside of the classroom.

A Second Chance at Life
Jayden Upton, a 21-year-old Loras College student is crushed by a train and placed in a medically induced coma for days shares his story. Jayden continues to have a positive attitude accepted what happened to him and appreciating his second chance at life.

Leading by Faith
2013 graduate, Daniel Thole, sought a Catholic education, a strong community, and a robust math program when choosing his college. His search led him to Loras and those three factors continue to shape his life as an education leader a decade after graduating from Loras, earning him the title of our October Duhawk Dozen.

2012 graduate, Abby (Moore) Lawrence, just celebrated her 10-year Loras Reunion at Homecoming 2022. In addition to the time she spent planning her reunion, Abby has been spending her days working with Verena Street Coffee in Dubuque, starting a barbeque business with her husband, and adjusting to life as a new parent.
