Hannah Eby
Assistant Director of Peace and Justice
Hannah earned her undergraduate degree in music and Hispanic Studies at Illinois Wesleyan University while working to promote interreligious literacy as a multifaith ambassador. After teaching English in Spain for a year, she joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest and served as a youth program specialist at a family shelter in Oregon. That experience kick-started her interest in intentional community living and relationship-based social work, eventually leading her to live in community with the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters and people with intellectual disabilities at L’Arche Clinton. Hannah loves her hometown of Dubuque, Iowa, where she has worked at Teresa Shelter and Carnegie-Stout Public Library and serves as a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. Whenever she can, she plays the flute and enjoys outdoor adventures such as thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and Camino de Santiago.
