EXPERIENCE IS EVERYTHING

Established in 1910, the Loras Players are the oldest, continuously-operating theatre troupe west of the Mississippi! Currently in its 115th season, students of all majors get hands-on, practical experience in this multi-disciplinary extracurricular program.  While exploring the intellectual pursuits of aesthetics, narrative, communication, visual arts and performance, students develop the skills necessary to captivate and inspire an audience on the frontier of storytelling and prepare to undertake an increasingly non-routine future with social intelligence, complex critical thinking and creative problem solving.

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to Ash (a housewares employee, turned demon-killing hero), and his trusty chainsaw to save the day!

SPRING PLAY

In this side-splitting one-act comedy, a troupe of enthusiastic but accident-prone actors attempt to stage a classic murder mystery only for everything that can go wrong to do exactly that. From collapsing scenery and missed cues to misplaced props and baffled performers, the production quickly descends into perfectly choreographed chaos. Packed with physical comedy and nonstop mishaps, The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong delivers an evening of theatrical disaster and laugh-out-loud fun.
