The Tri-State Undergraduate Psychology Conference is an annual symposium dedicated to showcasing undergraduate research conducted in partnership with faculty mentors. Hosted on a rotating basis by a consortium of four colleges across Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, the conference regularly welcomes participants from fifteen to twenty colleges throughout the tri-state region and Minnesota. In addition to student research presentations, the event features sessions focused on careers and graduate education in psychology, a graduate school fair with programs from across the region, and a keynote presentation exploring timely topics and current research in the field of psychology.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Pat Powaser
Presentation Topic | Psychology: Your Superpower for Career Success and Community Impact
Dr. Pat Powaser earned his PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University. Before teaching, Dr. Powaser spent the first twenty-five years of his career inside large corporations (Bank of America, Frito-Lay, The Limited, Occidental Petroleum) and has traveled extensively around the world (Canada, Latin America, North Africa, Middle East, Europe) where his psychology background helped him effectively navigate different cultures and customs. He is also President of Gradient Coaching & Consulting, LLC, providing executive coaching, leadership development, and business transformation support to clients around the globe.

Conference Registration
Please find the links for conference registration and poster submission below. We kindly ask that all attending students and faculty register for the conference prior to Friday, October 30. The conference registration fee for students will be $15. Faculty are free. The fee can be paid the day of the conference via cash, check, or Venmo. Poster submissions are due by midnight on Friday, November 6.
