Dr. Taylor teaches Microbiology, Genetics, and Principles of Biology. His research is on the genetics of domestication of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which has been our companion in making bread, wine, and a variety of other products for thousands of years. He is a founding member of yEvo lab, a group developing high school lab curricula on yeast evolution (yEvo.org). His jalapeno cheddar corn bread has won at least one award.
