Allen College: Nursing (BSN)

PROGRAM: Nursing (BSN)

DESCRIPTION: Facilities the transfer of qualified Loras College students to Allen College to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The program assures qualified Loras College students of admission to either the 15-month option or the 5-semester traditional option of Allen College’s BSN degree program. Students complete general education requirements at Loras College and have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Loras College in addition to the BSN degree at Allen College.

Central College: Masters in Athletic Training (MAT)

 

CITY/STATE: Pella, IA

PROGRAM: Masters in Athletic Training (MAT)

DESCRIPTION: Creates an accelerated application and acceptance pathway to the Loras Master in Athletic Training (MAT) program and reserves two designated spots in the program for qualified Central College students earning the Bachelor of Arts in exercise science at Central College.  To be eligible, Central College students must complete all necessary application materials by published deadlines, have completed the required pre-requisite courses, and earn a final undergraduate minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Undergraduate credits earned at Central College may not be applied to the Masters in Athletic Training degree.

Drake University: Juris Doctor (JD)

PROGRAM: Juris Doctor (JD)

DESCRIPTION: Allows Loras College students in their third year, who have completed at least 90 credits, to apply for admission to the Drake University Law School. Credits from the first year at Drake University Law may satisfy the remining requirements for the bachelor’s degree from Loras College.  Loras students who are accepted and matriculate as full-time students to the Law School are guaranteed a $5,000 scholarship for each of the three years of study at Drake.

Mercy College of Health Science: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

 

CITY/STATE: Des Moines, IA

PROGRAM: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

DESCRIPTION: Creates a 3+1 pathway for Loras College students to complete a bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from Loras College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mercy College of Health Science in four years.  Students must complete a minimum of 90 credits and the requirements for a declared major at Loras College and must also meet the admission and prerequisite requirements for the Accelerated BSN program.

St Ambrose University: Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT)

PROGRAM: Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT)

DESCRIPTION: Creates pathways for qualified Loras College students interested in earning the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree at St. Ambrose University.  Pathways include automatic conditional admission to the St. Ambrose OTD program for high school students planning to attend Loras College and students who have completed their first year at Loras College, a 3+3 accelerated pathway, and a 4+3 traditional pathway.

St Ambrose University: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

PROGRAM: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

DESCRIPTION: Allows qualified Loras College students to be considered for admission to the St. Ambrose Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, including parameters for an accelerated pathway (3 years at Loras + 2.5 years in the St. Ambrose DPT program). The agreement guarantees interviews for the top five qualified applicants to the St. Ambrose DPT program from Loras College.

St Ambrose University: Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA)

 

CITY/STATE: Davenport, IA

PROGRAM: Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MA)

DESCRIPTION: Allows St. Ambrose University students who have completed a minimum of 100 credits toward the bachelor’s degree, met the admission requirements for the Loras College Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program, and completed an admissions interview to receive preferential admittance to the CMHC.  Loras reserves two sports in each admission cohort for qualified St. Ambrose University student.

DESCRIPTION: Allows St. Ambrose University students to complete the first three years of the undergraduate degree at St. Ambrose University and then transfer to Loras College to complete the course work for the Master of Athletic Training degree, through a 3+2 pathway.  St. Ambrose students must complete a minimum of 90 credits towards the bachelor’s degree and have met the admission requirements for the MAT program. Credits taken in the first year of the MAT program will satisfy the remaining requirements for the bachelor’s degree from St. Ambrose. Loras College reserves two spots for qualified St. Ambrose students in each cohort.

DESCRIPTION:Guarantees an admissions interview to at least two Loras College students who have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have met the requirements for admission to the St. Ambrose Master of Physical Assistant Studies (MPAS) program.

DESCRIPTION: Loras College students who earn a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and meet the admission requirements for the St. Ambrose Master of Social Work (MSW) program, are eligible for admission to the Advanced Standing program, enabling them to complete the MSW in one year.

DESCRIPTION: Allows Loras College students in their third year to apply for early admission to the University of Iowa College of Law Juris Doctor (JD) program.  Students who are accepted and successfully complete the first year of study in the JD program will satisfy the remining requirements for the bachelor’s degree from Loras College.
