Loras College a MONEY Magazine ‘Best College’

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Loras College, a four-year Catholic liberal arts college, is ranked fourth out of Iowa’s seventeen private, nonprofit colleges that made MONEY magazine’s 2017 Best Colleges For Your Money list.

In Iowa, Loras ranked higher at No. 365 out of 711 schools than Simpson College, 394; Central College, 395; Northwestern College, 402; Wartburg College, 450; Luther College, 470; Coe College, 519; Saint Ambrose University, 575; Cornell College, 597; Graceland University-Lamoni, 594; Grand View University, 621; Buena Vista University, 660; Briar Cliff University; 665; and Upper Iowa University, 669.

Princeton University claimed the top spot for the second year in a row. Fourteen of the state’s 33 private nonprofit schools failed to make the list.

Rankings are based on 27 factors centered on educational quality, affordability, and alumni success.
