Loras Merits CASE 2020 Educational Fundraising Award

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) selected Loras College as a recipient for a 2020 Educational Fundraising Award.

As part of the 2020 Circle of Excellence Awards, Loras was cited for Overall Performance as a Private Liberal Arts Institutions with Endowments Under $150 Million.

“This honor is a result of the dedication of our Loras faculty and staff along with the greater Loras Community around the world who commit their time, talent and treasure in helping Loras fulfill its mission,” said Michael H. Doyle, J.D. (’91), vice president for advancement |treasurer. “We are grateful to our alumni and friends whose support provides the resources needed, which allows Loras to continue to be recognized as a top-tier Catholic institution of higher learning.”

CASE awards are peer-selected and adjudicated. They acknowledge superior accomplishments that have a lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism while delivering exceptional results in the fields of advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing at colleges, universities, independent schools, and affiliated nonprofits.

In 2020, CASE received 2752 entries from 28 countries up from 20 the year before. Those entries came from 587 institutions for consideration in 100 categories that were judged by 416 volunteers who selected more than 400 entries for recognition.

Winners are selected based on several factors, including overall quality, innovation, use of resources, and impact.

Since being introduced in 1994, the Circle of Excellence Awards have showcased thousands of innovative and creative ideas and solutions that help CASE members better serve the educational institutions whose vital missions they are working to advance.

CASE is a global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement—alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services—who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society.
