National Alumni Board
The National Alumni Board (NAB) was formed in 1989 under the direction of the Office of Alumni Relations. The board serves to develop and promote the support of alumni and friends to strengthen the College. Through a variety of programs, events, and communications the board strives to create an atmosphere, which encourages lifelong friendships while simultaneously serving the alumni and the College.
The board is comprised of up to 25 members representing decades, gender, and geographic area of the alumni constituency. Members are elected to an initial term of four years and can be reelected for a second four-year term. The full board meets twice a year with the executive committee holding conference calls monthly. Each member supports and is engaged with recruitment philanthropy and internships.
Programs sponsored by the National Alumni Board include our Distinguished Alumni Awards and mentor programs. The board has made pledges up to $60,000 for various projects and activities on campus. All monies generated by the National Alumni Board support the College in some form.
Support the National Alumni Board Scholarship.

The NAB funds scholarships to four students, each receiving $4,500 annually.

Young Alumni Advisory Board
The Young Alumni Advisory Board (YAAB) is a group of Loras College alumni leaders from various regions in the United States who graduated within the past 10 years.
The Young Alumni Advisory Board members serve as a vital link between recent graduates and Loras College. They advise the Alumni Office on young alumni interests and perspectives, share engagement strategies, advocate for young alumni needs, and act as a bridge between the Alumni Office and other alumni. Board members also take initiative in planning and attending alumni events, fostering active involvement among their peers.
Established in the fall of 2010, the Board’s ultimate goal is to sustain and enhance young alumni support for Loras. This is achieved through various means, including recruitment efforts, development initiatives, and ongoing engagement activities. By leveraging their unique insights and connections, Board members play a crucial role in maintaining strong ties between the college and its most recent graduates.

Getting Involved
Alumni Ambassadors
Join a committed and loyal group of alumni representing their class years. Ambassadors are representatives of Loras, charged with cultivating relationships with their classmates and encouraging them to connect with the College through giving and engagement.
Mentor Program
Designed for students and alumni to make their careers more rewarding and successful, mentees share aspirations, challenges, career questions, and ideas, while mentors serve as their sounding boards, providing advice, networking, referrals, and encouragement. Pairing is based on their field of study, workplace aspirations, campus involvements, and interests.

An individual, group of friends, classmates, or even teammates can make a difference and help move Loras forward in many ways.
