Loras Students and Staff receiving LULAC Young Adults Awards

De la Mora, Perez Honored at National LULAC Conference

Emily De la Mora (’26) and Sergio Perez (’13) were presented with awards at the ninety-fourth League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Convention and Exposition in recognition of their leadership abilities. Both are selected from a national pool of young adult/collegiate chapters.

De la Mora was recognized as the National LULAC Sweetheart, given to an eighteen- to twenty-nine-yearold woman that embodies the best of the LULAC code and is seen as a developing leader who is respected by her peers within her council.

Perez, Loras’ director of the Center for Inclusion and Advocacy, was recognized as the LULAC National Advisor of the Year for his work advising Loras LULAC Council #380.
